The so-called theater for toddlers is something broader than the aesthetic contemplation of the 30-minute show. It consists of a shared experience between children and their companions interacting with their surroundings. Of course, in a work of this type, there is no story, nor are words relevant. Instead, there is a display of visual and musical actions designed to provide babies with a stimulating and fun time, immersive and calming, but also thrilling.
Young children also have the right to be entertained through the arts and have the right for the performing arts to help them harmoniously develop their sensibilities and skills. Plisti- Plasta, has soap bubbles as its central element. The Catalan poet Joan Brossa called them “flowers of air.” And we believe there is no greater joy for children than chasing and popping them. That’s why we hope the final scene will be a splashing party.
